KHIKHVI  2019

This is one of the oldest Georgian varieties, widespread throughout Kakheti. It is used to produce excellent traditional qvevri wines. However, fortified wines made from Khikhvi were also famous in the past.

Best places – Kardanakhi.

Combination with meals:

The best wine for khashlama, chakapuli, pork shashlik.

Method: Traditional Kakhetian qvevri wine, aged for 6 months on chacha.

Location: Kakheti, Akhmeta municipality

Variety: Khikhvi

Alcohol: 14%

Color: golden-amber

Bouquet: strong tones of plants, with the smell of Georgian spices and dried citruses.

Taste: exquisite, balanced wine with moderate tannin flavor.

Serving temperature: 11–13°

Awards: 12-th Georgia International Wine Award 2021 - Bronze Medal
