TAVKVERI  2019

Leading variety of red wine grapes in Kartli, widespread throughout the region (Kvemo Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida Kartli). It is used to produce relatively light, very tasty red wines with an unforgettable flavor. Kartlians often press this variety together with Chinuri and Goruli Mtsvane. It is also used to make sparkling rosé wine.

Best places – Mukhraani, Khidistavi, Ateni.

Combination with meals:

Serve with stews, chakhokhbili, Kartlian dishes, bughlama, etc. Of course, this wine also goes well with fried poultry and pork shashlik, lobio, and sausages.

Location: Kartli, Mtskheta municipality, Mukhraani

Variety: Tavkveri

Alcohol: 12,5%

Color: cornel-colored

Bouquet: very memorable first scents, with pronounced berry-floral tones (ripe raspberries, cloves).

Taste: exotic wine with pleasant tannins and long aftertaste

Serving temperature: 14–16°

Awards: Georgian Wine Guild 2021 - Gold Medal
